Daniel's Mission Trip to Zambia (2025)

I can hardly believe it but I will be graduating high school in less than two months. I can think of no better way for me to begin my next season than to step out onto the adventure of following God’s leading to serve orphans on the mission field. I don’t know exactly what my future holds, but I know I want to follow God’s plan for my life and I know that I am drawn to missions, especially loving and serving orphans.

As I embark on this journey, I would like to ask for your support in this next season. This summer, I’m going on a mission trip to serve at the Breath of Heaven Children’s Village in Zambia, Africa with my church, Elevation, and I’ll be going with my dad too, which makes it even more special. The trip is July 10th-27th, and honestly it’s a big step of faith for me. We will be serving about 100 orphans, most of whose parents have died of AIDS. Despite losing both of their parents to tragedy, many of the kids have strong faith in God and hope for their future. That is amazing to me and I look forward to learning from their faith.

I’ve been on a lot of mission trips to an orphanage in Mexico before, and those have changed my life and opened my heart to want to serve others, especially orphans. But this is different. It’s further, it’s bigger, and it’s definitely stretching me. But I know God is leading me here. I’ve been praying about it, and I feel this deep passion to love and serve the kids and people in Zambia.

To go, I need to raise $4,000, and I’m trusting God to provide. That’s not easy for me to say, but I know this is part of the journey, learning to depend on Him, and letting others be a part of it too.
